If you go a little bit past Obsidian Mansion, there's a special tree where you get tree seeds from once a day. They happen to be more effective then your weapons when you first battle it. If you didn't know, you can throw tables at Marionetta at Obsidian Mansion. Plus, they can be pretty expensive compared to the rest of the weapons. Cons: They're not very strong and they don't take up much damage. They're also helpful if you need to use magic on a certain gate or monster you need to defeat with a certain element. Staff- Pros: You don't have to consume as much RP when using a magic staff. Unlike the others, you can't swing a spear, so being covered by other monsters while attack another monster can be a problem if you can't swing a spear to clear up other monsters in different directions. Cons: They leave you vulnerable to counter attacks a different way than the other weapon types. Sometimes your enemies may be blocked off from distance that you can't get past, and only spears can reach that far, unlike the other weapon types. Spear- Pros: If you're concerned about your range and distance, spears are a perfect choice for you. Cons: They're very short-ranged compaired to the spear and they aren't as strong as some of the other weapons. Short Sword- Pros: They're pretty fast, and if you equip a shield, your defense will be high since the short sword is light. However, once you've unlock the Ultimate Attack, it covers you by swinging in a circle, knocking all the enemies in your way. Cons: Same as the pros, they're heavy, making them somewhat slow when you use them, leaving you fairly vulnerable to counter attacks. Long Sword- Pros: You can attack from a fairly good distance from your enemies, and since they're heavy, they can be pretty strong. Cons: They're shieldless, like dual blades. Gloves- Pros: They have a special skill where you can enemies in the air, and then throw them wherever you want. Especially since you're shieldless with dual blades. 
Cons: If you're the kind of person who can get paranoid about your HP, be careful. Cons: They're really heavy and slow, so you need to watch out when you have a bunch of enemies surrounding you.ĭual Blades- Pros: They're really fast and effective when you use them, so if your main concern is about attacks you can get rapidly, then this is the perfect choice for you. They're also the strongest weapon type that you can use. They have pros and cons to them, too.Īxes/Hammers- Pros: They're really strong and take up a lot of damage.
Every weapon type you use will have a different use. You should talk to travelers often when you are stumped about something, there always there to give you advice about something you may not know. I have no idea what Love Magic's effective/weak points are. Earth and Wind are effective/weak against each other, Fire and Water are effective/weak against each other, and Light and Dark are effective/weak against each other. Magic Gates and Magic Monsters have weaknesses, too. This can be used for other weapons and other crystals as well. let's say I upgraded a spear with a wind crystal, and then after that, the spear will have wind magic to it. Did you know that when upgrading a weapon with a crystal, that weapon will have some kind of magical attack added to it? For example.
